The two g's remain a mystery

So, Gregg Zaun broke his silence on being named in the Mitchell Report, apparently staying quiet these months to catch his breath. So, Zaun thinks he might have written a cheque to Jason Grimsley to settle a basketball bet. He was so disgusted by losing the bet, he left the recipient part of the cheque blank. Grimsley then used the cheque to buy 'roids from Radomski.
"It's more than likely, I was still mad about losing the bet, so I wrote $500 in the box, signed it, then bitterly flipped it at him in disgust."
Zaun also said that he and Grimsley were friends in Kansas City.
" We spent time together off the field. I made him laugh a lot.
It was a surprise to me when he got in trouble because I had no idea. I never heard him talk about any of that stuff. After games, we drank beers and talked about baseball and martial arts.
I don't have any idea why he would link my name to one of his sales. Jason was a reserved guy. He used to get fumed when guys would violate clubhouse sanctity by telling outsiders about the nonsense that went on in there. It was the principle to him, not the content. Jason isn't a rat and he never ran his mouth about people."
So the lesson here, boys and girls, is don't bet on baseketball games.
And I'm just going to believe him. And now let's all misremember and move on.
Oh and look

Someone has a body to match their fat head.
