Talking Jays: 100 Games In
On Tuesday I sat in the little studio at the Pacific Junction Hotel at King and Sherbourne and talked baseball while nursing a Heineken for 90 minutes. Karim Kanji was my host.
I listened to the whole thing and realized that I was unable to be critical about any Toronto Blue Jay. And I also talk very fast. We also touch on domestic violence and baseball and this whole women writing about sports thing.
Here is an episode Kanji did with Morgan P. Campbell and another he did with Arturo Marcano. Both quality dudes.
General thoughts about the San Diego series? I wish they'd swept.
General thoughts about the Blue Jays? I've come to point that I think it's dumb to put Sanchez in 'pen. I don't think it's better for him. I don't think it makes the team better. Hearing about it annoys me.
General thoughts about the Blue Jays vs Orioles this weekend? Don't pitch to Chris Davis. Win some damn baseball games. The Blue Jays are a better team than the Orioles.
General thoughts? Watch Stranger Things on Netflix when no baseball is on.
Song?
The Player's Tribune had various Blue Jays submit songs for Kevin Pillar's weekend walk up.
Josh Donaldson's was hilarious and, of course, it won. Josh Donaldson Wins.
Notice the Cardinals' fan wondering why baseball players have such bad taste in music.
I'm not sure a Cardinals' fan should question the taste of others.
I wish I was like six-foot-nine
So I can get with Leoshi
'Cause she don't know me but yo she's really fine
