How mighty my power is...

I totally killed that Rios/Lincecum deal with my Internet yelling. Actually, me turning around and maybe being okay with it is what killed it. Well, actually the real power is Sabean's stupidity. He out stupided himself. Yes, giving up young pitching for slightly less young offense is arguably dumb. But killing a deal to get Rios because you signed Aaron Rowand pushes the stupid to new levels. But that's how they roll in San Fran.
Miguel Tejada's got his Xmas wish early this year and finally got traded out of Baltimore to the Astros. The Jays, according to Ken Rosenthal, are close to signing little David Eckstein (?!?!) J.P., you sneaky bastard.

Towers was non-tendered by the Jays. Fly free, Sparrow.
The whole Santana to Yanks/Sox prompted DJF to argue that if the Yanks/Sox had any one of our hatchlings, they would be flipping out over them and I cannot agree more. Rios would be a superstar. Litsch's pink, round and efficient debut would have been apart of baseball lore. Fenway would smell of urine (more so) because the "faithful" would be peeing their pants over Peaches McGowan. Oh well...
