The Winter of Our Discontent
I can't formulate right now. This is crap, though. You can spin it a positive way if you'd like, but I'm not there yet.
Cleveland, who was already better, got better . Toronto got worse. You can crunch numbers if you'd like, and try to argue how this move is great, but this is how I see it. It's the terms of the Cleveland deal that are particularly offensive. The Jays couldn't have worked that out?
If you want to talk about windows to win, there are several players on the team under contract that are in those windows. Don't tease winning it all, then take steps back and spin it to make sound like these are positives.
Have some respect for the people that have shown up and paid for the tickets and the merchandise and the apps.
This off season has been weird and off putting. I didn't understand the rush to sign Morales. One could say EE's camp misread the market, but shouldn't that also indicate that the Jays also misread the market. If the market is slow, why the rush? The best option just signed, and there are several others still on the market.
I just don't get it.
