"What the fuck are you looking at, Mother fucker?" is what a recently struck out Pat Burell said to a glaring Roy Halladay. Wow, Pat, you kiss your mother with that mouth? And please, Doc just struck you out. Looking. He cares nothing for you. You are dead to him. He was glaring at the home plate umpire because of their philosophical difference of opinion on what a strike looked like. That and his groin was aflame. And not with desire.

Speaking pain, Jose Bautista suffered from a sports hernia all season and got it operated on yesterday. He needs 4-6 weeks to recover. All of this begs the question: He hit 54 homers with his guts poking through his stomach muscles?* So either he could've hit about a million more or one of us is going to have to hold Bautista down and punch him until his guts poke through if he has only hit 15 homers by the All Star break.

*a little research was done. Apparently the term "sports hernia" is a misnomer. It's a groin pull...his groin, like Doc's, was also aflame. And not with desire.

On Daylife, where I got that pic, Roy Halladay is still listed as a Toronto Blue Jays player. Sigh.
