Everyone's Favourite At-Home Game!!!

Ex-Jays in the playoffs!!!! It's a game where we look at the dudes that used to play for the Jays (and, therefore, not in the playoffs) and speculate whether or not Jays in the playoffs could do better. It's merely a selection, only the ones I can think of without looking them up. This year it's more funner.*

Roy Halladay

We've already discussed at length Halladay's post season performance. In short, he sucked. Badly. His first post season start he only throws a no-hitter, and not a perfect game. He actually walked someone. Loser.

Orlando Hudson

One of the most charismatic dudes to ever play for the Jays had himself a home run, but that didn't stop the Yankees from once again steam rolling the Twins out of the first round.

Scott Rolen

Scott Rolen had himself a brutal NLDS, making 2 errors in the 3rd game alone and failing to stick it to his former team the Phillies and making the Reds fans long for the defense of Edwin Encarnacion. Phillies fans rejoiced at the sad state of Scott the Rock, but I have a rule around these parts. There will be no talking of shit about Scott Rolen.

Alex Gonzalez

Made the mistake of letting a guy named Madison Bumgarner eliminate his team. But had 3 hits and 2 RBIs. And didn't irritate Bobby Cox like a certain whistler who now plays for the Jays.

Troy Glaus

Yeah, he was there. He turned a nice double play in game 2 and ran like he was sore.

Bengie Molina

Molina made the mistake of not being Buster Posey, so he got traded from the Giants to the Rangers mid-season. But he has played 3 games in the ALDS, hit a home run and is hitting .400. Bengie and his Rangers send Cliff Lee to try to fend off the surging Rays. It should be a good game.

Eric Hinske

I have to admit, TBS posting Hinske's name and "two time World Series Champion" made me a little nauseous. Hinske has been a tag along for the past 3 World Series, as a member of the 2007 Red Sox, 2008 Rays and the 2009 Yankees. But apparently his mojo ran out, because his 2010 Braves got themselves bounced from the NLDS, so Hinske's reign of World Series terror has come to an end. He did do one of his classic Hinske moves though. The swinging F-bomb strike. He didn't do the outraged called strike 3 on the pitch that is clearly there. I was disappointed. But he did have a homer.

AJ Burnett

Who knew Parkes' soul was worth something? After being sent to the naughty chair (ie the bullpen) for the ALDS, Joe Girardi has decided to play with fire and AJ Burnett will be getting the start in game 4.

Of course I am biased, and this is the year of the pitcher, but other than the Rangers/Rays series, no one seems to be hitting in the postseason. And the Jays, the last two weeks of the season, were a hell of a lot more entertaining than some of these games. And the Jays played the Yankees rough and tough, and they might have made a more interesting ALDS opponent than the Twins and their flailing pathetically.
