Holy Buck!

Buck Martinez is back as play by play guy and it seems Sportsnet has DFA'd Jamie Campbell. Jamie seems an affable enough guy, so I could never really hated him. But I always would get the distinct whiff of something when he called the game. Not bullshit, exactly, but some other form of shit. Chicken, maybe. He had a habit of jinxing guys, repeating things over and over in an attempt to create a 'story' and being more than a little bit of a drama queen. I guess we can kiss that one goodbye.

As for Buck, expect for him to broadcast with a broken leg, replace Cito Gaston when he gets fired or "retires", whichever comes first and then make us wonder why someone so good in the booth is so useless in the dugout. It would be really cool if Martinez could manage and do the play-by-play. Not particularly conducive to winning. But a lot of things about this team are not conducive to winning.
