The Tao says The Beej is Back
So mixed in amongst all the "AJ is back" talk, the Jays sort of quietly announced that BJ Ryan is going to return from the DL but that Scott Downs will retain the closer's role. I, for one, am pulling for the big guy to get it together. There is a lot of animosity towards him floating around, but it isn't like he pitched like shit on purpose. Dude was injured. If they put him back in the closer's role, I would understand a little of the hate, but they aren't.
And says stuff like this:
"I walked in there to Cito and said, 'Cito, I'll be down there, I'll pitch whenever you want me to pitch.' You just get down there and help the team. We're playing good ball right now, so you get down there and when Cito wants me to pitch I'm going to come out there and pitch and hopefully get back to what you know you're capable of doing."
