Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick

Back when Tampa was the suckity suck, it used to drive me nuts when they ("they" being mostly Carl Crawford) would beat Toronto and then roll over against the Yankees and Boston. My common outburst would be "Damn it Tampa, you have one job! Help contain the Evil Empires."

Watching the Tampa 'pen give up a 7 run lead after Scott Kazmir pitched his injured ass off and maintain a shut out was very painful. Relax the sphincters, boys and don't pitch down and in to David Ortiz. It was curious watching Joe Maddon watch this from the dugout, and basically left them out there to blow around and develop yip-like complexes.

It was disapointing because Joe Maddon is kind of a pimp. With the glasses, the uncanny resemblance to Spencer Tracy, his enjoyment of literature, his biking to the ballpark...

It's a bit of a shame that Joe Torre is in the NL West now, because between Maddon, Torre and Cito, that's a lot of pimp.

So Tampa, you better pull this shit out...don't make me cheer for the damn Phillies.

"Insulted" and then defended

Some small dick calling himself Don Juan at DJF wrote this in response to a comment I made that the Sox are kind of boring to watch and I'd much rather watch a good Doc/AJ game anyday:

joanna go back to kitchen, fold some laundry. your comments are always annoying, just like the blue jays not being in the playoffs for 16 years.

Its kind of fun that men still think comments like that are insulting, when they just end up sounding moronic.

Anyway, some fellas- one annonymously called him a "dumbass" and another wrote this:

"Don juan u are a fucking latino chauvinist, comprendes. Shut the fuck up and let the lady speak. Those fucking Red Pox make me sick, they really do. How the fuck do they come back from 7-0 after getting shelled by Kazmir. Does anyone think that Tampa has a chance tonite?Bruno Van RottweillerPS Joanna loved your post......."

It's nice to know that DJF hasn't decended complete douchery. What the hell is going on over there with the annonymous assholes?
