Much Ado about Upton's Hose

My dad asked me who I liked in the Series, and I said I didn't know, that I needed to see a few games to see who was playing well. My dad said, "Oh, you mean like 6 or 7 games and then you could hazard a guess?"

Is it any wonder I am how I am growing up in such an environment?

I did, however, acurately predict game 1 for the Phillies, mostly because Kazmir is hurt and Hamels has been a machine in the postseason. Had it been Garza or Shields, it might have been different. Or not. The Phillies looked relaxed and hungry, but maybe its just good pitching.

It was curious seeing Victorino test BJ Upton's arm on a fairly shallow fly ball to centre field. The MLB dudes on the Sportsnet broadcast (I think its the international feed) were all "Ooooooh, don't be testing the hose" but I think Victorino had heard the legend of Upton's 'hose' and wanted to see it in action. My goodness, that's a pervy sentence. Seeing a man's 'hose' in action is never appropriate on basic cable.

By the by, what is hose-like about a good arm? Cannon, gun, rocket launcher I see, but not hose.
