The Box of Chocolates
It's easy to get angry at the Beej for being a little too exciting last night, but plunking AJ Pierzynski can never, ever be considered a bad thing.
I had a sinking feeling about Doc's start a couple of nights ago. He seemed tense in the early innings and by the time he settled in to his usual groove of awesomeness, Buerhle had beaten him there. It's all okay, he's already forgiven.
Marcum was awesome. Scottie Downs seems tired. I laughed when our AJ jumped on Barajas when he got back to the dugout after his contribution to the late offenxive explosion. Stay, dude! You know you want to.
I'm tentatively excited about this upcoming series versus the other Sox. If it goes badly, it will go very, very badly. But if it goes well, our boys are right in this shit and SOSH will be a haven of hilariousness. I hope they are quivering.
For my birthday, I got semi-meaningful games in September. Which is a lot better than last year. I think I got a Yankee sweep.
"Think the Jays threat isn't real? Think again. In the last 30 days the Jays are #2 in hitting in the AL; 4th in HR's with 33 in 26 games; #1 in MLB in pitching with a .281 era; lead the league by .4 runs over the season in bullpen ERA; lead the league in Complete games and ERA for starting pitching and come in hot with four starters hitting better than .300."
