New and exciting...

...ways of losing. WTF happened to the pitching? AJ was all over the place, annoyingly get two outs and give up walks and hits and runs. He kind of settled down, and sat on it. Gave his team a chance to climb back in it, tie it. And then Tallet caught AJ's suck bug, League (surf's up) got it, and then Acorn. The A's pitching had the same thing, except that pretty man, Huston Street.
I asked my dad what was up with AJ, and he said, "Well, he's a talented bonehead." Which, if I ever write the biography of AJ Burnett, that'll be the title. I don't know what was wrong with the changeup, the fastball or the curve, except that they were hanging over the plate. It was almost like they were stealing signs or he was tipping. But maybe that's just how it seems when one sucks. Maybe it's a giant conspiracy. AJ doesn't really want to opt out, but doesn't want to seem like too much of a puss if he pitches too well and doesn't exercise his option. Or maybe, just maybe, "Talented Bonehead: The Alan James Burnett Story".
I remember starts last season when AJ would give up a homerun and take the loss because nobody hit for shit, and I felt pity for him. Well, people hit for shit last night. VDub hit a dinger, A-Dog followed(4-4 with a HR) and Hurt hurt Alan Embree to tie the game. I don't know what the hell he has been eating, but snack on, Frank.
