Oh please

Globe and Mail baseball columnist Jeff Blair, who I usually enjoy very much, has drunk the Kool Aid. Step away from the ESPN columnists, Mr. Blair!!

The evidence? In Sunday morning's column, he called the 07 Sox more likeable than the 04 version. Better, yes. I'll give you better. Deeper, more deadly. But more likeable? No. Maybe the fault lies not with the team (although seeing Papelbon pump his fist after every win is obnoxious, chill the fuck out), but instead with the media and the arrogant "Red Sox Nation". Since the Sox bought Dice-K, it's been a constant stream of non-stop Sox coverage. Blah, blah.

The Sox fans might be the most arrogant bunch of assholes. In 04 is was like a fairytale, and the long suffering fans finally got their championship. Now they are completely disrespecting of their opponants, their opponants fans and even their own guys. Notice how they jumped on Manny for saying "who cares?". Well, that guy was the only one performing and was basically carrying the team. He was hitting the cover off the ball and therefore doing his job. Show a little respect and let him say what he wants. The worst part of it is that they are now what they used to accuse the Yankee fans of being. The Massholes should know better.
