Your 2007 Toronto Blue Jays

Yeah. So, I'm a little bummed out. Why? Let me count the ways...
1. After playing like bandits the last week and a half, they send out a seemingly disinterested AJ to pitch for the Skychiefs (+Lexi) in front of a crowd of 40,000. If I had paid for that shit, I would have told them to take their fan appreciation tuques and shove it in their Shea Horn.
2. Ernie Whitt, that symbol of old school Jay-osity (you know, when they actually won stuff and were relevant) was made 1st base coach. Really? Wow. I once asked my dad what a first base coach did and he said "Other than taking hitting gear, not much". Actually, that's not quite fair. They also run the stop watch and clap. Butterfield (who is pretty cool) gets Whitt's bench coach/#2 job. Is this message sending? A little mystery, why did Whitt always make the 'pen calls instead of Arnsberg?
3. Best pitching since All Star break and no playoffs. No playoffs in general. The freaking Phillies are going. And King Carlos is not.
4. Blue Jays Tuques. The end of baseball means the Long Dark is settling in. And the necessity for tuques.
