Marathon battle of pitchers, because the hitting died (again). It was a stupid little bloop single by Jeff Cirillo off of Tallet that landed inches from Vernon's glove that won it. "It's weird, you're celebrating a hit, but it's a bloop hit," Cirillo said. "It's like, whatever, OK, let's jump up and down and go home." It's the kind of game that usually favours the home town boys. And I don't think Gibby really needed to use Acorn in a tie game on the road. But you know, booooo Gibbons, boooo.
