Roy Halladay, a seemingly nice, rather soft-spoken guy, turns into an absolute savage when he is on the mound. He wastes no time dispatching hitters. As soon as the hitter is in the box, he is set to pitch. If he has two strikes against you and you call time, you are only delaying the inevitable, as Nelson Cruz discovered last night. Doc also turns a lovely shade of dark pink when he pitches, making him a giant ball of red fury.

After rubbing out some Rangers, Doc is filled with glee.

Red fury with rhythm. As Texas catcher Gerald Laird put it "When he starts pumping strikes it feels like it's going so quick. When he gets in a rhythm it's kind of tough to break it."
He pitched another complete game, striking out 8 and walking none.

Jays won 6-1. Glaus hit a homerun. So did Hill, the teams current homerun leader. Vernon has the flu. On to Cleaveland, to see C.C. and his playmates.

And because B.J. was lonely, Chacin was placed on the 15-day D.L.
