No one likes losing. Especially losing in September.

(To everyone yelling "TWO HITS? JIMENEZ????" today, I saw him do the exact same thing to them last year. I was sitting in very fancy seats and I witnessed Ubaldo throw junk at this offence and they flailed at it fruitlessly. For most of the game. I got so frustrated and annoyed one inning, I just started focusing on Donaldson stretching on the on deck circle. He's a specimen. Ubaldo Jimenez is the exact type of junkball pitcher that would frustrate the hell out of this offence. They should've won Wednesday night.)

Anyway, losing has made Blue Jays Twitter crotchety and despondent.  And apparently it's made the mood in the clubhouse a bit crotchety as well.

Steve Buffery, of the Toronto Sun, wrote a gossipy column about the Toronto Blue Jays and some recent interaction with the local media. 

Not identifying the two writers was a little weird. Scott MacArthur was on TSN radio this morning and offhandedly confirmed one of them was Richard Griffin, but didn't identify the other one.  The story has also been picked up by Deadspin.

The Osuna thing is probably the most unprofessional thing mentioned in this article, but it's sort of glossed over. Someone yelled at him for not talking to them? Really? That's crazy! (Apparently, it's Rosie DiManno. She didn't mention the yelling part.)

Marcus Stroman is a bit of brat, but he's young and high strung. One can't praise his high spirits and then go after him when he is high spirited. He could probably learn some diplomacy, but Stroman's been a big leaguer for 20 minutes. 

Buffery's last point there, wondering if the team is as together as Gibby says it is, is pretty passive aggressive. I'd actually argue that most of this is passive aggressive. No one comes off great here. Everyone is a brat. 

The team seems plenty together and nothing in this article tells me anything different.  Framing beef with members of the media as team discord isn't valid. These boys might be circling the wagons a bit, but I don't get the sense that there is discord in that wagon circle. 

I realize media has a job to do, but since the Yankees are mentioned as a great example in the article,  Derek Jeter said nothing of substance to the press for 20 years and reporters managed to write plenty about him. 

I'm sorry, but no one really cares if you can't get a player to tell you he gave 110%. And frankly, I wouldn't want to talk to some of these people either.

Here is one I really enjoy talking to: John Lott sets up the Wild Card race in this final weekend of the regular season for Vice News. 

BTW, the showdown on Sunday is Sanchez vs Price. I don't know who gets whatever Wild Card, tie breaker thing.
