Misguided is the wrong word. I don't care, cheer for the Phillies. Do what you want. But don't do it because you think Roy Halladay is coming back to Toronto if he wins his ring this year. That it'll give him satisfaction elsewhere, and he can come home refreshed and rededicated. I know some people think that because I've read it on Twitter.

Nearly every American media outlet has asked Halladay questions in the vein of "After your prison sentence of 11 years, you were released and are now playing in the playoffs. Isn't it great?" and they should maybe fuck off with that.

And the Molitor situation isn't exactly the same, because no one acted as though Toronto invented Paul Molitor.

I've watched at least some of all the post season games. I've been watching with interest all week. There has been interesting baseball. Really well pitched, well played baseball. Which I appreciate. I enjoyed watching it.

I'm just not going to cheer for the Phillies. And I hope Cole Hamels gets lit up.
