Good For Baseball is Bad for Jays

Bud Selig thinks a Philly-Roy is good for baseball. That the competitive balance is "as good as any sport", even though it seems to me that the NHL playoffs are a little more varied and the final features different teams more often than not. But what it really did was remove an obstacle to a continous New York/Boston domination. Any team that has to play Yankees, Boston and Tampa more than the rest of the league has an uphill struggle. And minus the best pitcher around, the hill is steeper. So fuck off, Selig. Was the long non-existant policy on PEDs about a competitive balance, too?

While witnessing the late inning clusterfuck of the Opening Day game, something that I quietly thought of earlier, why is Jason Frasor the closer? Boy can pitch, boy has nice mechanics but boy has trouble under pressure. Remember, he was the closer after the BJ needs TJ because his back is sore situation? And remember it was not a fun situation and Jeremy Accardo ended up with the job? Remember? Well, apparently Cito doesn't. Why not just have Downs as closer and shut up about it?
