Offense and Paper Airplanes
The Jays tried novel concept last night...OFFENSE. I mean, wow!!
Who knew that if Doc had one or two bad pitches, his team was allowed to bail him out?
A beefier Adam Lind stroked in 6 RBIs, a franchise record for opening day, so I guess we'll keep him. Let's also keep Travis Snider, who as Blair rightly points out, seems much older and more experienced than his calendar years. He really looks like he belongs
As for the assholes who threw stuff, I'll let Jim Leyland do the talking:
"It happens. Get a little cold Labatt's and a big win for the Blue Jays and they're having a great time.
You can't endanger any players, whether it's yours or the other guys'. You just can't do it. No big deal. I don't want to make a big deal about it."
Oh, and I wasn't there, but the buzz seemed less crazy than last year.
