I made a deliberate effort not to mention the 5-1, mostly because it reminded me too much of the dark days of 2008. Bases-loaded, no one out and not a run, boys? And Jesse, who totally became Miguel Cabrera's bitch, was pink, round and that was about it. Too many fly balls, Rojo.

Yesterday's get away matinee was way, way more fun. Ricky Romero (who I've decided looks like LL Cool J) made his big league debut. 2 runs off 7 hits. McLeod called him engaging and described his smile as shy. Methinks Robert has a bit of a crush. When he's alone in his room sometimes he stares at the wall
and in the back of his mind he hears his conscience call.

"It's a day that I'll never forget." says Ricky. Aw. Did Mama say knock you out?

But the quote of the day went to Alex Rios. "If we keep doing this, we'll win, like, 300 games." Which is great, cause they only need, like, 95 of the 300. And only play 162. So, maybe they are so good, some of the wins will count as extra. Super wins.

Well, Lexi is rich and pretty, so he doesn't need smarts. And in all fairness, Alex did take a ball off his bean in the third inning and looked pretty stunned. ¿Cómo está tu cabeza, Lexi?

Oh, and AJ won his pinstripe debut. And recorded the first strikeout. Whatever.
