Everyone, notably The Tao, is freaking the freak out over Roy Halladay's comments of frustration. And I'm here to call everyone down from the bridge.

What do you expect him to say? "Yeah, I'm okay with not winning. Same thing year after year is awesome..." I'd lose respect for him and question his sanity. He's just echoing what everyone has been saying, but without saying"fuck", at least publicly. Let's see how his comments would sound peppered with that word:

"Those are the fucking things we fucking talked about going into spring fucking training. Fucking teams are going to have things like that happen sometimes and you need to take fucking advantage of it. Obviously, that's what the fucking Rays have done. You don't fucking expect either of those fucking teams will struggle for too fucking long and if they do, you have to fucking capitalize on it. We haven't fucking done it so far, and it is fucking tough when you see that. There was a little bit of a fucking window."

Wow, Roy. You kiss your wife with that mouth?

Speaking of my new hero, Brandy Halladay, she had a lovely interview with Mike Wilner. She said that she loves Toronto, that he loves it here, wants to win here more than anywhere else. Her bit about living in Toronto longer than any place she had before and how kind everyone was made me want to hand her some canned goods. So if Doc is planning to take his nasty, kitten-eating skills elsewhere, he hasn't informed his wife. Just saying.
