If only every game were a home game

Angels 1 Jays 4
Halladay is lovely. I had ominous feelings when Chone Figgins stole second immediately off him and then scored when Vladdy hit a single. But then Guerrero was tagged out trying to steal 2nd (atta boy, Zaunie!) and the tide was turned. The Jays bats were alive with the sound of the Shea horn (actually, not they weren't, except maybe in the first). Roy was downright zippy, this outing coming just under 2 hours. And then, AJ ( because there was no chilli race) pied the Doctor in his postgame interview. Methinks someone will pay for that and pay dearly.
The Angels brought Justin Speier with them. Speier, with his high-leg kick, high socks and Jordan-like tongue when he did something awesome (which was repellent and fascinating, all at once) was a cornerstone in the Jays pen for a bunch of seasons. This is what he said about the boys who are now occupying his former playground: "I'm really proud of them. It's been to see how they've come into their own as pitchers. It's been a pleasure to watch -- their progression." Aw, Justin. I hope your intestines hold up okay.
