I don't really know why Gibby left Towers in to give up a two-run single. Sparrow had a tie and two outs, got ahead of both Posada and Cano but couldn't finish them off, giving up a single to Posada and a double to Cano. Getting ahead of guys (1-2, 0-2) but unable to make an out pitch, where he had previously retired 8 Yanks in a row should be a rather loud warning bell that Sparrow was gassed. Andy Phillips had a 2-run single that won the game. I don't usually blame Gibby for every loss, but this one is on the skip. Pull him after Posada and put Downs in to face Cano.
Troy Glaus was totally awesome last night, 2 homeruns, a walk and a triple (off Mo). And no one threw at Show Pony.
