Indians 7 Jays 6, 11 innings
Well, that was a stupid way to lose a ballgame. A broken bat flare that VDub nearly got to and then a stupid little punch by Pronk down the left field line. I saw the hit and thought "Cool, that is totally playable." But there was NO ONE THERE. The shift was on and Lind was deep. The ball literally would have hit Glaus if he had been playing where he was supposed to.
Westbrook lasted an inning and change, then left with a sore oblique.
Zambrano lasted two innings and change, then left because he was annoying.
Tabler proved to be psychic when he said early in the game that Hafner can beat the shift because he can hit to all fields. It's ashame that memo didn't get to Gibby. Yell it down to the dugout next time, Tabby.
Jays left 14 (!) men on base.
Dustin "Peaches" McGowan will try to live up to his vast potential in the rubber match. And then maybe they can get the hell out of Cleveland.
